Carbon Five needed a better way to collect billable hours from its employees. I designed and wrote CSS for a new Timesheet.
My biggest insight after talking to co-workers was that they were often confused when deadlines for entering billable hours were, so I changed the display to emphasize pay periods rather than weeks or months. Additionally, we integrated with APIs from Google Calendar, Pivotal Tracker, and GitHub to provide in-place reminders. This made it much easier to describe tasks when hours weren't entered the same day.
